 Dr. V. P. Vaidik, Chairman of the Council for Indian Foreign Policy, visited the Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, CASS and had a thorough discussion with Chinese Scholars. Ex-Ambassador to India Cheng Ruisheng, Executive Director Sun Yang from the Academy for World Watch, Deputy Director Sun Shihai, Prof. Liu Jian and Dr. Lan Jianxue from the IAPS, received Dr. Vaidik. Both sides discussed topics related to: how to keep the momentum of China-India high level interaction, India’s role in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), China’s role in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), China-India interaction and Nepal situation, and differences between Indian and Chinese governance.
